I’ve been reading this blog for months..I love her writing and her point of view on spiritual things is very thought-provoking! She’s also funny, a mom of 4 little kids, and just plain awesome! OH, and I love 7 Quick Takes Friday! It’s a weekly deal where she throws out 7 quick thoughts about her day, her life, or whatever. So, here goes…my very first “7 Quick Takes Friday”…
1. I started this blog a week ago tomorrow. I’m loving it and wishing I had jumped in and done it sooner!
2. I finally ordered and received my “Official Visitors Guide” to Washington DC this week. I didn’t really wait too long to plan the trip if we’re leaving in 8 days, right?
3. I’m loving babysitting an extra 4 year old (in addition to my 5 kids). It wasn’t exactly how I expected God to answer my prayers, but it was an answer to many prayers indeed! The most obvious (in terms of tangible things ) is financially, but the not-so-obvious, more beneficial ways to me is that it’s making me a better Mommy, homemaker, and teacher. I’d been praying about getting up earlier, keeping a cleaner house, planning better meals, having more ‘organized’ school time…all of this is coming together with an extra child here. Funny, huh? How God works works things out and answers our prayers!
4. On that same note, three little boys, ages 4 and under, can, in fact, find a way to get the water hose on and get themselves totally wet head to toe, every single day in a week, no matter how many different ways you try to keep them from it!! Is that a run-on sentence with too many commas? Don’t tell anyone I teach grammar to my children…hehe.
5. I CAN clean my entire kitchen…all the way down to mopping the floor, in an hour…as proven here. It was kind of exhilarating too..and exhausting!
6. Sinus headaches for a week = mountains of laundry. Did you know that? I could show you a picture as proof…but I won’t!
7. I really like this whole ‘7 Quick Takes’ thing that Jennifer hosts…it was fun to sit here and come up with 7 short, quick thoughts about this past week! I hope to remember to do it again next Friday!! Wanna read some more? Go over to Conversion Diary and have a look around!
