It turned out to be a really good Monday around here. We finished all of our school work in a reasonable amount of time, we got some laundry and dishes done, and my back was feeling better (until I decided to pick up my little one this afternoon… OUCH!).
Here’s a rundown on our spending:
On Amazon I bought a birthday gift for one of my kiddos birthday next month (it was on sale – lowest price ever), and a some medical supplies for another kiddo. And that’s it. We bought no groceries, no gas, no eating out, etc.
With my back pain flaring up again this evening, I didn’t feel like cooking tonight so for supper we had homemade sub sandwiches with all the fixin’s and fresh pineapple. Simple, delicious, budget-friendly. I was tempted to get Richy to buy chips on the way home because I love to eat Doritos with sub sandwiches, but I resisted the urge!! #win
Then Caleb made a pan of Gooey Butter Bars for dessert… ohsogood!
I also sold 4 more books on eBay, but I’ve only been paid for one. As soon as the others are paid for and I know my net profits, I’ll add it up here. For the one that was bought and paid for – I profited $9.35.
Here’s our running total:
Medical Expenses: $42.92
Extra/Unexpected Money Gained:
Book sold on eBay: $9.35
OVERALL TOTALS SO FAR (spent so far / budgeted for the month):
Groceries/Toiletries: $561.69 / $1200
Clothing/Home Products: $62.69 / $240
Entertainment/Eating Out: $90.13 / $300
Gas/Oil $265.74 / $400
Homeschool Supplies: $58.23 (my homeschool budget is annual, not monthly, so I’m noting this just to keep up)
Medical Expenses: $76.04/$50.00 (uh-oh… this will have to come out of savings!)
Gifts: $51.09 (like our homeschool budget, I budget for gifts annually but I aim to spend $20/gift for family members’ birthdays)
Extra Money to Savings to Date: $895.04
